.UK Registrant Terms Notice
Nominet is updating the terms and policies that apply to .uk domain names. These changes are expected to take effect on Tuesday, 9 February 2027.

This notice applies to registrants of .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk and other .uk family domain names.
Notice of updated .UK terms
Nominet, the registry operator for .uk domain names, has announced updates to the agreements, policies and registrant terms that apply to .uk domain names.
The updated terms are expected to come into effect on Tuesday, 9 February 2027, as part of Nominet’s .UK Standardisation programme.
If you hold, renew, transfer or continue to use a .uk domain name through Sheridan Internet after the effective date, the updated Nominet registrant terms and applicable .uk registry policies will apply to that domain name.
Sheridan Internet is reviewing and updating its domain-related terms and procedures to reflect these changes.
What customers should do
- Check that your domain contact details are accurate.
- Ensure your renewal email address can receive messages from Sheridan Internet.
- Renew important domains before their expiry date.
- Contact Sheridan Internet if you have questions about a .uk domain name.
This notice may be updated as Nominet publishes further operational or policy information before the transition date.
