These terms explain the acceptable use, delivery limitations and customer responsibilities that apply to email hosting services provided by Sheridan Internet.

Email hosting must not be used for spam, unlawful activity, abusive content or excessive use that affects Sheridan Internet, our customers or third parties.

Responsible use of email services

Customers are responsible for how email services are used by them and by anyone operating under their control.

No spam

Email services must not be used to send unsolicited bulk or commercial bulk email.

Legal compliance

Customers are responsible for complying with relevant legislation when sending email.

Message security

Sheridan Internet is not responsible for the security of message content sent or received by customers.

Delivery limits

We work to route messages accurately, but cannot guarantee receipt, delivery or routing of every email.

The Client undertakes that it will not, and will ensure that others under its control will not, use email services to:

  • Transmit inappropriate material.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Use the hosting server to an extent or in a manner which, in Sheridan Internet’s opinion, is excessive, wasteful or otherwise to the detriment of Sheridan Internet, any Sheridan Internet customer or any third party.
  • Send unsolicited bulk email, commercial bulk email or spam.

When sending email, the Client acknowledges that it is responsible for complying with any relevant legislation, regulation or permission-based email requirements that apply to the messages it sends.

The Client acknowledges that Sheridan Internet Limited is not responsible for the security of the content of email sent or received by the Client.

Sheridan Internet will use its best endeavours to ensure that messages are routed accurately and promptly.

Sheridan Internet does not accept liability for non-receipt, non-delivery, misrouting of email or any other failure of the email system.

Sheridan Internet’s policy is to respect the privacy of email messages sent, received, forwarded or otherwise handled by it.

The Client acknowledges that Sheridan Internet will not monitor, edit or disclose the contents of such messages unless required to do so by law or competent authority, or where necessary to protect Sheridan Internet’s rights or position.
